Processing purposes and legal basis of the data processing
As a matter of principle, we collect and utilise users' personal data only to the extent required to ensure the functioning of our website and of our contents and services.

Personal data
The personal data you provide when purchasing learning content is transferred via web interfaces to the learning platform for account creation.
The following data is collected for the user profile:
- Firstname
- Lastname
- E-mail address

The purpose of data collection is to create a unique account for authentication on the learning platform. In addition to the user data, a user ID is generated in the system.
In addition, the user can enter further details about his profile. This data is stored and processed for the purpose of improving communication between platform users.The following data can be provided voluntarily:
- City
- Country
- Timezone
- Language
- Description
- User picture
- Personal interests
- Optional information

Usage data
Through the activity of the users on the learning platform, information is collected by the system, which is necessary for the functionality of the learning platform.
Data obtained:
- Course Affiliations
- Course statistics
- Learning progress
- Test results
- Processing time

Logfiles
The system automatically creates log files in which the following information about the user is stored:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Internet service provider
- IP address
- Name, URL and transferred data volume of the retrieved file
- Date and time of access
- Duration of stay
- Websites from which the user's system accesses the website
- Websites that are accessed by the user's system via the website

The temporary storage of the IP address is necessary for the functioning of the website. The user's IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session
The purpose of data collection is the use of the data for the administrator or the support in case of technical problems or the clarification of security incidents. 

Duration of storage
The personal data of the person concerned will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of the storage no longer applies. Furthermore, data may be stored if this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws or other regulations to which the person responsible is subject.

Cookies
The learning platform uses cookies to store the login data in the browser. This allows a page change without having to log in again. For better operation, logon data is stored in the browser even after the learning platform is closed. This makes it easier to log in again. The user has the possibility to deactivate the cookies. This can impair the functionality of the platform.

Log data
The log data is stored in the system for 30 days and then irrevocably deleted. This data is used for the error-free and secure operation of the platform and helps with optimisation and troubleshooting.

Plugin Accredible certificates & badges
For the creation of secure certificates we use the service provider Accredible (https://www.accredible.com/). The data for the certificate is transferred from the learning platform to Accredible with the plugin. The purpose of the data transfer is to create certificates with the protection of the block chain technology. The certificates are stored online with the service provider.

Plugin Simple Certificate
For the creation of simple certificates as PDF files the plugin "Simple Certificate" (https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_simplecertificate). The certificates are stored on the learning platform.
